We Combined a Beach Clean with Live Music on the Beach! 🎶

This month, we teamed up with Dan from ScotSurf Coffee, and musician Paul Hackett for the ultimate Friday night. Combining our love for protecting the coastline with community and fun. Volunteers braved the challenging weather, joining us for a beach clean around the Donmouth area of Aberdeen. It was great to welcome lots of new faces!

We celebrated our efforts afterwards, adjusting to the changed forecast by piling into the ScotSurf Coffee trailer, where Paul entertained us into the night with his stories and music. He turned a group of strangers into a choir! Check it out for yourself. Stay up to date with future beach cleans and collab events by following us on Instagram.

We Helped Cash4Kid's Jamie Overcome Ocean Fear! 🫣

Jamie Smith, the Charity Manager at Cash for Kids, is working tirelessly to raise £30,000 to provide warm clothing for children in need this Winter. However, for Jamie, the mission isn’t just about hitting a financial target—it’s about overcoming a personal fear. He organised 'The Big Dook' - a mass North Sea dip with radio Northsound 1's Jeff and Lauren, but there was one big problem, he was terrified of open water! He's been working with Jessie and Sarah from our team throughout September to help overcome his fear, and his progress has been incredible to watch first hand. It's been an honour!

We highly recommend you check out the mini-series for feel-good viewing. Click to watch Jamie's introduction to the sea, first paddle-board experience, first time treading water, and stay tuned this week to find out how he braved the waves at a Seashell dip!

If you want to be part of this incredible effort, there’s still time to get involved! Join us on Saturday, October 5th , for the mass North Sea Dook event. Whether you’re taking the plunge yourself or showing your support from the sidelines, it promises to be a fun-filled morning with a huge impact.

Neptune's Pirates Ghost Net Dive Team in Seashell! 🏴‍☠️

Our MISSION Robe faced the ultimate test this month during Captain Paul Watson's Ghost Net Retrieval Team's final expedition of the season, out of Grimsby. Designed in dedication to the foundation, 10% of profits from each sale on our website are donated to support their remarkable work.

On Saturday 14th, despite rough sea conditions, the team returned to the wreck of the SS Merchiston at a depth of 22 metres. The team successfully removed 7 abandoned lobster pots and 400m of discarded fishing rope. On Sunday 15th, they ventured to SS Corinth at 23 metres to recover 11 pots, 1 discarded fishing net, and 10m of rope.

This mission was dedicated to their founder, Captain Paul Watson, who is still imprisoned in Greenland. Show your support for the campaign and donate to the Spectre Vessel here.

We Completed the BEAST! 💪🏽

beast race

A huge round of applause for our incredible Seashell team for absolutely crushing the Beast Race! While we didn't exhibit this year, we couldn't resist joining the race, bringing along a few of the extended Seashell family to support this epic annual event in Scotland.

The Beast Race is a 10km obstacle course race over tough Scottish terrain. Mega obstacles; giant water slides; icy loch water; thick mud & swamp crossings - it’s the ultimate team or solo challenge. Well done Darren, Colette, Avril, Scott, Ross, and Donnie!

Beach Vibes with New Faces 📸

We've worked with Scottish photographer James Heasman since day one, and it's always a blast capturing new products with him. This month, we shot some new faces, with some incredible results! A huge thank you to our models, Sarah, Nick, and Kyle. Stay tuned for some new releases available in October.

And Finally...

A huge thank you for your continued support. Whether you're a customer, local beach clean volunteer, or sea dipper! Our very small team has been incredibly busy, and we're looking forward to sharing some more great experiences with you throughout the rest of the year.
